Enfucell announced that Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, former CEO of Nokia Corporation, has joined the company as an angel-investor and advisor.

Enfucell is a leading developer and manufacturer of SoftBattery, a thin, flexible and environmentally friendly power source. With main offices in Helsinki-Vantaa, Finland, Enfucell has also presence in the US, UK and France. The company's roots are in the Helsinki University of Technology, today known as Aalto University, School of Science and Technology.
Enfucell's SoftBattery, a printed power source with voltages between 1.5 and 6 V, can be optimally utilized in disposable and short lifetime printed electronics products, and its applications include RFID, micro sensors, displays, OLEDs, LEDs, functional packaging, cosmetic and pharmaceutical transdermal delivery systems.
Enfucell's customers and partners include many of world's largest corporations in their fields. In 2011 the company was granted two major FP7 projects by the EU commission, together with partners like Siemens, VTT, TNO and Dresden University of Technology. Earlier Enfucell's SoftBattery technology has been recognized as The Technology Pioneer 2007 by World Economic Forum, The Red Herring 100 Europe in 2007 and The Guardian European Cleantech100 in 2008.
The main shareholders of the company are Pontos Oy and AMK-Holding Oy. Other shareholders consist of Vera Venture Ltd, a Finnish governmental venture fund, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Co., and approximately 10 private shareholders, including Dr. Zhang, a co-founder of Enfucell and the developer of SoftBattery technology. Enfucell is also financially supported by Tekes, The Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation. In total, Enfucell has raised nearly €7.5M ($10M) by January 2012.
