Quantum Materials announced that Dr. Krishna Kowlgi has joined the company as nanomaterials process engineer. Dr. Kowlgi is an experienced entrepreneurial scientist specializing in analytical and physical chemistry with inventions and commercialized technologies in catalysts, engineered chemicals, colloids, fuel cells, material sciences, nanotechnologies, polymers and self-assembly.
“We are fortunate to have Krishna on board,” said Stephen Squires, Quantum Materials founder and CEO. “His expertise in quantum dot synthesis and scaling-up advanced materials production will be crucial as we continue to expand our specialized quantum dot manufacturing capabilities.”
Prior to joining Quantum Materials, Dr. Kowlgi was a research engineer at Xelvin Zuid BV, driving the synthesis of semiconductor quantum dots in continuous-flow reactors. Prior to Xelvin, Dr. Kowlgi served as director of technology at Minus9 BV, scaling up production of carbon nanonetworks via fixed-bed chemical vapor deposition.
