Gemalto will showcase its vision for a seamlessly connected, secure and sustainable digital future at this year’s Dubai GITEX Technology Week. Spanning the Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Banking, Smart Government and Mobile Authentication, the firm will present an array of use cases and interactive demos.
Driving towards the Internet of Secure Things, Gemalto will demonstrate how its Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions and platform can boost a shopper’s online retail experience by conveniently serving up smart deliveries with secure track-and-trace information. A mHealth smart pill dispenser with remote monitoring and assisted living features will also be presented.
On the Digital Banking front, the wearable Optelio Pay Band will illustrate the future of payments. Built as a multi-purpose solution, this new cashless, contactless payment wristband can serve as a prepaid payment device, a transportation card or a crowd management solution at large-scale events. Also included in the demo line-up will be the company’s latest Dynamic Code Verification card, which with its periodically changing three-digit security code is set to curb online fraud.
The company will preview for the first time in the region its SafeNet Bluetooth Smart solution, which provides a convenient and secure Bluetooth based PKI authentication solution therefore compatible with multiple devices.
Rounding off this line-up will be Gemalto’s Smart Government demo pod with solutions supporting trusted and convenient Public eServices deployment. For instance, the firm’s Coesys mGov solution is a new mobile strong digital authentication tool that enables citizens to safely and conveniently access online government services using a combination of their contactless national eID card and NFC phone.
“People’s interaction with technology becomes commonplace with billions of connected devices soon to be part of our everyday life. As the world increasingly turns to IoT and digital in order to engineer this promising future, security, data protection and privacy takes precedence. Gemalto has the capability to meet these demands for increasingly personalized, convenient, yet secure solutions,” said Eric Claudel, president, Middle East & Africa at Gemalto.
