DuPont announced the opening of its ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) headquarters in Singapore. DuPont Senior Vice President and Chief Science & Technology Officer and Singapore Economic Development Board Managing Director Yeoh Keat Chuan officially opened the office and technology center at an inauguration event at the headquarters. The science and technology hub is vital to the company’s efforts to enhance its competitive advantage in a pivotal growth market.
“DuPont is deeply committed to scientific innovation. The co-location of business leaders with scientists and engineers at the DuPont Singapore ASEAN headquarters will enable us to deliver solutions for the region and the world more rapidly than ever before,” said Douglas Muzyka, DuPont SVP and chief science and technology officer.
Tony Su, DuPont Asia Pacific president, said DuPont’s growth in ASEAN reflects the company’s commitment to applying world-class science in the rapidly developing region. “DuPont’s footprint in ASEAN began 43 years ago in Singapore and we now have eight offices and 13 production plants for various businesses throughout the region,” Su said. “This opening reaffirms our focus on the ASEAN, one of the key growth regions for DuPont in Asia.”
The 11,000 square meter headquarters will house the administrative offices of DuPont businesses in agriculture and nutrition, bio-based industrials and advanced materials, as well as nutrition and health laboratories.
