UniPixel, Inc. announced the 20th design win awarded to the company since the beginning of calendar 2016. An existing major PC customer has awarded the business to include UniPixel’s XTouch touchscreen sensors and its Diamond Guard hardcoat for a 15.6-inch laptop computer targeted to the consumer market to maximize touchscreen responsiveness and seamlessly support the Microsoft Pen protocol.
“The notification from this existing major PC customer of another laptop win for our touch sensor technology validates that we have earned our customer’s confidence,” Jeff Hawthorne, president and CEO of UniPixel, said. “In addition, the award underscores the fact that the metal mesh technology we offer provides a key differentiation in devices that use a stylus.”
Volume production for this program is expected to commence in the first quarter of calendar 2017.
