Jones Packaging announced that its Contract Packaging Services (CPS) facility has once again received a compliant (c) rating following a Health Canada GMP inspection.
Health Canada inspects Jones’ CPS facility every three years for compliance with division 2, Part C of the Canadian Food and Drugs Act, with a focus on pharmaceutical over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
As part of the inspection, auditors closely reviewed Jones’ Quality Management Systems and processes, covering a wide range of packaging and labeling for solid, liquid and powder product formats.
“We are proud to continue to meet the legislative standards for Canada and ensure safe product for our customers,” said Nic Hunt, senior VP for the division. “We received only minor observations – all of which were addressed and resolved during the inspection.”
