Royole Corporation made its international fashion-industry debut at the Paris Fashion Week 2018 show. The company spent Sept. 28 alongside global fashion designer Heaven Gaia, showcasing its Flexible Shirt and Flexible Top Hat, the world’s first apparel pieces to feature high-definition flexible display and sensor technologies. Royole also presented flexible display demos, videos, and its latest consumer products.
“Our Flexible+ Wearables – featuring our ground-breaking, ultra-thin, fully flexible displays embedded into them – are a unique, innovative way for companies or individuals to visually express their personalities and creativity,” said Dr. Bill Liu, Royole’s founder and CEO. “Individuals or businesses can use them as the ultimate mobile billboard, showing existing video content or streaming in real-time from their mobile phones. Royole wearable expressions are guaranteed to attract attention, just as they did in Paris.”
Royole envisions fashion as a unique and powerful platform for flexible technology integration, allowing consumers virtually infinite opportunities of personal expression and customization. It’s Flexible+ Wearables are easy to assemble, extremely comfortable to wear, and are powered by a portable external lithium battery. They support 3GP/MP4 videos and JPEG/GIF images. The large, fully flexible AMOLED displays can be easily removed from and reinserted into both items, allowing for convenient washing and dry cleaning.
