CPI announced it will be hosting the 2021 innoLAE Industry Day, uniting large corporates, SMEs and the associated supply chain in the printed electronics industry.
Featuring talks from key industry leaders, as well as an exciting Digital Packaging Challenge hosted by multinational drink and brewing company, AB InBev, the innoLAE Industry Day will take place virtually on Feb. 23, 2021.
Printed electronics enable the mass production of extremely thin, cost-effective and flexible electronic circuits, with broad applications ranging from authentication labels for the food and beverage industry to wellness monitoring devices and wearables.
The market has expanded rapidly over the last decade, growing to one worth over £20 billion. CPI has gained extensive experience in this burgeoning sector and has established a large industry network through work at its National Printable Electronics Center.
The innoLAE Industry Day will be a free event, allowing SMEs, entrepreneurs and digital technology providers from across the printed electronics industry to broaden their network, form collaborations and pitch their offerings to the industry.
The online event will feature several talks from leading companies and decision-makers highlighting key market opportunities, as well as the industry challenges the technology is currently facing. The event will also feature a free online pitching competition.
The Digital Packaging Challenge invites SMEs, entrepreneurs and technology providers to deliver a 10-minute creative solution pitch, addressing a challenge posed by AB InBev, the world’s largest beer company.
The challenge involves the creation of innovative returnable crates, incorporating sensors and digital technology to support improved consumer use.
“We are excited to be welcoming attendees from across the printed electronics sector to our 2021 innoLAE Industry Day. Building on the success of the last four years, we are pleased to be hosting this free, online event to help connect SMEs with leading companies, accelerating progress in this industry. The AB InBev competition also provides attendees with a unique and exciting opportunity to turn their innovative ideas into reality," said John Cocker, Electronics director at CPI.
