Identiv, Inc. said it entered into an exclusive partnership with Ameta International to distribute Identiv’s Freedom Access Control and Enterphone product lines to the United States and Canada.
“Identiv is excited to announce our partnership with Ameta International; it is a partnership made even more critical considering current growth of the access control and low-touch markets,” said Steve Humphreys, Identiv CEO. “Ameta International’s expertise, growing channel partner network, solutions, and local knowledge directly complement our physical access product offerings in these rapidly growing markets, specifically for high-risk buildings and condominiums.”
Under this new partnership, Identiv and Ameta International look to make significant industry improvements by leading the charge to implement low-contact or contact-free access control solutions during and post-pandemic.
The purpose is to reduce virus transmissions in those high-frequency, high-touch surfaces in high-traffic environments such as elevator cabins and residential buildings.
Ameta’s touchless button technology will be integrated with Identiv’s access control solutions to foster a new standard as demand for no-contact solutions increases in high-risk buildings like condominiums, retirement homes, and student housing.
“With Identiv onboard, we can upgrade our current project of moving from traditional locks to wireless, touchless locks and buttons. We can integrate this type of retrofit project with Identiv to manage public area access control and individual unit access control on the same platform,” said Fan Chen, Ameta International CEO.
