Zebra Technologies announced it was named a 2023 Top Supply Chain Projects Award recipient. Presented by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the award recognizes the most innovative customer deployments that improve their workflows across the supply chain.
Through a fully integrated RFID solution consisting of fixed readers, mobile computers and software, Zebra and Valutrack – a supplies, location and tracking specialist and Zebra PartnerConnect Solution Partner – helped a national office furniture and components manufacturer, Hunt Country Components (HCC) resolve its operational challenges by implementing real-time visibility through every stage of its supply chain process.
The solution provided HCC the ability to track items continuously from the initial customer order through tracking workers’ labor hours, to staging and final delivery. HCC optimized efficiency, workflows and accuracy, while reducing time spent on payroll and improved the customer experience.
“It’s become more challenging than ever to create a supply chain with the visibility needed to connect assets, people, processes, and inventory for real-time accuracy. In fact, 69% of decision-makers in Zebra’s Warehousing Study cite operating with real-time guidance as one of the most desired outcomes,” said Mark Wheeler, vertical strategy lead, supply chain execution, Zebra Technologies. “Being named as one of the Top Supply Chain Projects for 2023 illustrates our focus on working with businesses globally, such as Hunt Country Components, to provide a fully integrated RFID solution to help optimize operations to deliver results along with the speed, accuracy and real-time tracking they expect.”
With Zebra’s RFID solution, Hunt Country Components has increased the efficiency, accuracy and visibility of its supply chain operations. As a result, workers have been freed up from walking miles searching for products to fulfill customer orders to better focus now on higher value projects, payroll processes have been streamlined, and costs have been considerably reduced. Even more importantly, the RFID solution has given HCC the ability to compete effectively with much larger competitors, objectively leveling the playing field.
