Pragmatic Semiconductor announced the appointment of semiconductor industry veteran Shane Geary as SVP, manufacturing and operations. Geary will take over from Ken Williamson to lead Pragmatic’s Operations and Manufacturing divisions with immediate effect.
Geary comes to Pragmatic with more 25 years leadership experience in semiconductor technology, manufacturing and operations. Previously, Geary held several positions at Analog Devices Inc. (ADI), where he was most recently VP of manufacturing operations and technology.
During his career at ADI, Geary’s responsibilities included full accountability for manufacturing and operations for a number of ADI’s wafer fabs in both Ireland and the United States, in addition to process technology leadership for several key areas of the company’s technology portfolio.
“We are thrilled to have a leader of Shane’s caliber join the Pragmatic team,” David Moore, CEO, Pragmatic, said. “His expertise in process technology, manufacturing and operations and his demonstrated track record of execution will be key to ensuring our continued success in scaling the business across our new 300mm wafer production lines in Durham, UK, to meet customer demand.”
“I am delighted to be joining Pragmatic at such an exciting time for the business,” added Geary. “I look forward to working with David and the rest of the executive team at Pragmatic to help the company realize the significant opportunity ahead for its flexible integrated circuits. Having spent all my career in the semiconductor industry I am genuinely excited by the disruptive potential of Pragmatic’s innovative technology.”
Williamson will continue to play a key role in the company as senior strategic program lead – manufacturing/operations.
