IDTechEx Show! USA 2019 in Santa Clara, CA opens today in Santa Clara, CA, with major corporations on hand to discuss the uses and potential applications for flexible and printed electronics.
Organized by IDTechEx, the conference features seven co-located concurrent programs during its eight tracks, including two sessions on Printed Electronics as well as single sessions on Sensors, Wearables, Internet of Things, Graphene, Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage.
IDTechEx CEO Raghu Das is expecting the event to do very well. “We have a record number of speakers – 288 coming from 26 countries, and expect to exceed 3,500 attendees,” Das noted. “We have a large number of brands presenting on the use cases and activities in printed electronics. They include GM, Faurecia, Airbus, Osram, Geely, Schreiner Medipharm, AbinBev, UTRC and many more.”
Das will open the conference will begin with a welcome and introduction. Next up is Dr. Gayatri Dadheech, senior technical leader for General Motors, who will anazlyze “Opportunities In The Automotive Industry: From Materials To Printed Electronics To Electric Vehicles.”
Tamim Belhaj, product line director at Faurecia, will then cover on “The HMI Evolution in Vehicles.” Myant president Tony Chahine will close the Cornerstone segment with “Human Connectedness: Re-imagined.”
The two Printed Electronics tracks share one Keynote session, which will feature speakers from IDTechEx, United Technologies Research Center, Osram and PragmatIC.
Printed Electronics in Vehicles: New Design Capabilities is a very interesting topic, and will lead off the first Printed Electronics session. Speakers include 219 Design/DuPont, Geely Design Sweden, Agfa Materials, New Cable Corporation and Classic Stripes.
The first Printed Electronic track closes with Printed Electronics in Healthcare, Infrastructure and Media, and includes presentations by leaders from JCDecaux, Information Mediary Corporation, NSG Pilkington and Schreiner Medi-Pharm.
